Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and Services Covered
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, resources, and related materials offered by newsflareza through its website. The services focus on news production resources centred on visual clarity, including detailed guidance on studio lighting techniques, camera setup procedures, editorial planning processes, and the creation of smooth workflows for newsroom broadcasts. All transactions are conducted under the laws of the United Kingdom, and this policy explains how payments are handled and when refunds may be available for these digital products.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices displayed on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. No hidden fees are charged for standard access to digital content. Any optional add-ons, such as extended access periods or supplementary downloadable materials, are clearly priced before purchase. Customers outside the United Kingdom may be subject to local import taxes or duties upon download, but newsflareza does not collect or remit these charges.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as digital wallets where supported by our payment processor. All transactions are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of order details. newsflareza does not store card details on its servers. Any additional security checks required by the card issuer must be completed before the order is confirmed.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
Upon successful payment, customers receive an automated confirmation email containing order details and access instructions. A binding contract is formed only when this confirmation is sent. Until that point, newsflareza reserves the right to decline an order if technical issues arise or if fraud is suspected. Digital content becomes available immediately after confirmation, subject to the customer accepting the terms of use.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers in the United Kingdom generally have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel distance contracts. However, because the products are digital content delivered instantly, the right to cancel is lost once download or streaming access begins, provided the customer has given explicit prior consent to waive the cooling-off period. Subscriptions, if offered, may be cancelled at any time before the next billing cycle, but partial refunds for unused periods are not provided except as required by law.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available only in limited circumstances, such as when technical faults on the newsflareza platform prevent access to purchased content for more than 48 hours, or when a duplicate payment has been processed. Refunds are not granted for change of mind, failure to meet personal expectations, or lack of time to complete the course. Promotional or discounted purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted. Digital licences and completed downloads are excluded from standard refund provisions.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, customers must submit a written request via the contact form on the Contacts page, supplying the order number, date of purchase, and a clear explanation of the issue. Requests should be made within 30 days of the original transaction. newsflareza will acknowledge receipt within five working days and may ask for additional supporting information, such as screenshots of error messages.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Each refund request is reviewed individually. newsflareza examines whether the claimed fault lies with its platform or with the customer’s equipment or internet connection. Approval or rejection is communicated by email within 14 days of receiving a complete request. If rejected, the email will state the reasons and any options for further review. Approved refunds are processed without further action from the customer.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at purchase. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, though the customer’s bank or card issuer may require additional time to credit the account. newsflareza cannot expedite refunds once they have been submitted to the payment processor.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Because all offerings consist of digital content, access is granted immediately and cannot be returned in a physical sense. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers, including trial periods, convert to paid access automatically at the end of the promotion unless cancelled. No refunds are available for content consumed during any free or discounted period.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
If a payment fails, the order is not processed and access is withheld. Duplicate charges detected by the system are automatically flagged for review and refunded within seven working days. Customers who initiate chargebacks without first contacting newsflareza may have future purchasing privileges suspended. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate order cancellation and reporting to relevant authorities where required.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom
This policy does not exclude or limit any rights that cannot be waived under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Customers retain the right to remedies for faulty digital content, such as repair, replacement or a price reduction, even after the standard refund window has closed. The policy operates alongside, and does not replace, these statutory protections.
Contact Route, Policy Changes and Last-Updated Date
Questions about this policy or requests for refunds should be directed through the contact form available on the Contacts page. newsflareza may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or business practices. The current version will always be posted on the website with the last-updated date clearly shown. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
